Drama Serial " CID "also known as Crime Investigation Department is an Indian crime detective series that airs on Sony TV India and Sony TV Asia. The CID premiered on April 29, 1997 and is the best ever running TV series in India, CID has completed his 17 years marathon in 2014. Shivaji Satam is doing a great job as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Pradyuman, Aditya Srivastava Senior Inspector as Abhijeet and Dayanand Shetty as Daya. Singh, on track working on the idea of C.I.D. while he used to job as a cameraman at Doordarshan News, for ten years between 1973 and 1983. B. P. Singh: “I was a news camera-man and handled the camera from 1973 to 1983. After that, I started being paid an advocate to break free. I deliberation I could see the scenes from a dissimilar and maybe better viewpoint. I asked Doordarshan News if they were paying attention in my idea of detective stories. I started doing some basis by meeting some detectives, which helps me a lot to go better in my plan.” After that, though we are on shooting for his a murder mystery film, Sirf Char Din, he used to visit the Crime Branch. Even as there, he interrelates with many officials, and was plotted by the on-going cases, the manner of the detectives, and their Method of Operation. He started reading novels about detective and their lives. Inspired by Shrikant Sinkar all of this and greatly liked his style of writing, he started toying with thought of a detective TV series. B. P. Singh had already complete six episodes in 1986, dozen years before the premier of the crime series, and 9 years before Sony Television was launched in 1995. He did not do any investigations or reviews before the series start and has planned to keep the episodes’ plot simple. Marathi theatre expert, Shivaji Satam ACP Pradyuman, had worked with B.P. Singh on numerous projects before amalgamation C.I.D. “Having worked with B.P. Sing on so many projects, I had to be part of C.I.D.,” said Shivaji Satam ACP Pradyuman. Daya (Dayanand Shetty) was marked by Sanjay Shetty, a member of the CID production team, in a public play, in which Daya (Dayanand Shetty) was adjudging best actor. B.P. Singh was so impressed with Dayanand Shetty that he finalized him five minutes into the audition. His character is amongst the most popular ones in the CID series along with ACP Pradyuman’s character, Shivaji Satam. Aditya Srivastava who going as Abhijeet, was initiated in the show as a criminal but was later on added into the C.I.D. team.
